Position: Assistant Accountant
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Job Description:
As an Assistant Accountant at Tiger Brands, Africa’s largest listed manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), you will play a vital role in supporting financial accountants.

Your responsibilities will include processing manual journals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and contributing to financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post financial journal entries
- Conduct month-end GL reconciliations
- Compile GL site YE packs, analyzing income and expense accounts for tax pack purposes
- Assist with audit queries and provide necessary information and explanations as required
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Newly qualified CA SA or CIMA graduate
- Accounting degree with 2+ years of total experience, including 1-2 years of accounting and administrative experience
Key Attributes and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills
- Business analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong finance business background
