Job Description

Overview:

As the Operations Director for Tiger Brands’ bakeries, you’ll oversee a cluster of manufacturing plants, ensuring safety, quality, and customer service while meeting manufacturing standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

You’ll represent the Supply Chain in Category Leadership meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Manufacturing and Operations Managers to execute the Supply Chain Agenda.
Develop a comprehensive Capability and Skills development program for the cluster.
Establish and maintain the Cluster Manufacturing Strategy, including capital and capability development.
Manage cluster budgets and interact with government and agencies as necessary.
Implement formal business processes like MCEP and ensure compliance.
Deliver on manufacturing targets and provide input to the PS&OP process.
Identify optimization opportunities and support process improvement initiatives.
Analyze environmental drivers and their impact on business strategies.
Initiate and support plant optimization programs to improve costs, productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.

Overall Equipment Effectiveness
Sustainability Index
Safety Index
MECP maturity index
Maintenance costs
Material usage variance

Qualifications:

15+ years experience in SCM, with 10+ years as a factory manager in production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
MBA or other business degree preferred.

As an Administration Clerk, you play a crucial role in supporting the Packing department, ensuring the smooth operation of various clerical tasks.

Responsibilities:

Planning and purchasing raw, packaging, and other materials.
Capturing daily production data.
Reconciling daily production with the Production Recording System (PRS) and Distribution receipts.
Weekly reconciliation of production figures with the Finished Product (FP) and Benchmarking files.
Investigating and rectifying variances identified during reconciliation processes.
Monitoring packing material consumption and forecasting requirements.
Reconciling packing material usage and maintaining stock control.
Managing labor time control inputs on the SACO time & attendance system.
Tracking and reporting on overtime vs. BCEA compliance.
Capturing daily Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) stoppages.
Analyzing and investigating OEE stoppages for efficiency improvements.

Key Attributes and Competencies:

Qualifications:

Minimum 4-5 years of relevant business experience, preferably in a purchasing or planning environment.
Grade 12 qualification.
Excellent computer literacy, particularly in Excel and Oracle.
