Job Description
Overview:
As the Operations Director for Tiger Brands’ bakeries, you’ll oversee a cluster of manufacturing plants, ensuring safety, quality, and customer service while meeting manufacturing standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
You’ll represent the Supply Chain in Category Leadership meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Manufacturing and Operations Managers to execute the Supply Chain Agenda.
- Develop a comprehensive Capability and Skills development program for the cluster.
- Establish and maintain the Cluster Manufacturing Strategy, including capital and capability development.
- Manage cluster budgets and interact with government and agencies as necessary.
- Implement formal business processes like MCEP and ensure compliance.
- Deliver on manufacturing targets and provide input to the PS&OP process.
- Identify optimization opportunities and support process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze environmental drivers and their impact on business strategies.
- Initiate and support plant optimization programs to improve costs, productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications:
- 15+ years experience in SCM, with 10+ years as a factory manager in production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
- MBA or other business degree preferred.
