Requirements:

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Call Center or NQF level 4 qualification
• Computer literacy certificate
• 1-3 years experience in Switchboard call center environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure, including shifts
• Fluent in English and other languages or multilingual
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles
• Ability to handle confidential information

Duties:

• Update and write doctors call roster daily
• Handle incoming calls, transfer to appropriate extensions, and take messages
• Make calls on behalf of staff
• Maintain records of calls and messages
• Answer general enquiries from internal and external users
• Report telephone faults to the supervisor
• Ensure proper handling of Switchboard apparatus to relay messages to the hospital community through the SMs platform
