We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trainee Store Manager to join our team in Brits, North West, South Africa.

The successful candidate will assist the Store Manager in developing, implementing, and managing a Store Business Plan, growing and protecting market share, and achieving sales budgets and growth objectives.
Requirements:
– Grade 12 with at least 2 years of retail management experience
– Valid Driver’s license and own transport
– Valid ID or work permit (local)
– Strong accounting, leadership,
administrative, and Human Resources skills
– Basic computer literacy
– Sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects (OHSA)
– Ability to work under pressure
Responsibilities:
– Assist the Store Manager in developing and implementing a Store Business Plan
– Grow and protect market share
– Achieve sales budgets and growth objectives
– Promote customer loyalty programmes
– Manage distribution of advertising material
– Develop action plans to protect market share
– Implement and monitor Customer Service strategy
– Maintain Customer Audits above 95%
– Ensure reliable and prompt Customer Delivery Service
– Grow and maintain VIC client base
– Achieve Transaction budgets
– Recommend Range improvements
– Implement action plans from Customer Surveys
– Manage and control shrinkage, stock movement, and asset control
– Maintain physical measures, manage debtors, and control cash
– Manage fixed assets, maintenance, and protection
– Recruit, induct, and train employees
– Ensure Succession Planning and Career pathing
– Manage manpower requirements
– Ensure open communication and employee relations
– Manage Safety aspects and ensure compliance with OHSA legislation
– Maintain Housekeeping and Merchandising standards
– Implement and maintain Planograms
– Achieve operating income budget
– Manage the Store according to the Financial Model and benchmarks
