Position Summary:

Are you dedicated to healthcare and providing exceptional patient care? Clicks offers an exciting opportunity to enroll in the Learner Post Basic Learnership Programme, leading to qualification as a Pharmacist Assistant.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, this position promises growth and development in the pharmaceutical field.

Job Description: Learnership Programme:

  • Attain a Further Education and Training Certificate: Pharmacist Assistance (Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant) through the accredited Pharmacy Healthcare Academy.
  • Engage in a structured learning curriculum comprising theoretical and practical components, leading to a qualification registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).
  • As a Learner, fulfill the following objectives:
    • Complete the Learnership Training Contract at a registered Clicks Pharmacy under an approved tutor.
    • Participate in requisite training interventions and pass competency assessments.
    • Compile a Portfolio of Evidence.
    • Assist the healthcare team in a Clicks Pharmacy under a registered Pharmacist’s supervision, adhering to the legal scope of practice as defined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

Minimum Requirements: Qualification Requirement:

  • Essential: Completion of a National Certificate: Pharmacy Assistance Learnership Programme (Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant). Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:
  • Customer service-oriented.
  • Team player.
  • Demonstrates integrity.
  • Possesses accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in numeracy and literacy.
  • Computer literate. Essential Competencies:
  • Adherence to Principles and Values.
  • Ability to work with people effectively.
  • Achievement-driven, meeting customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in following instructions and procedures.
  • Strong in relating and networking.
  • Effective in planning and organizing tasks.

Preference will be given to individuals who:

  • Align with the company’s employment equity targets.
  • Support the national agenda for developing unemployed youth.

Work Back Agreement: Successful applicants will enter into a work back agreement, committing to work for Clicks as a qualified Pharmacist Assistant for a period equal to or greater than the learnership duration.
