Main Purpose of Job:
The primary objective of this role is to respond to emergency calls and administer intermediate medical care within the scope of practice.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Ensuring operational readiness for emergency calls.
- Administering patient care within the scope of practice.
- Promoting and maintaining a positive public image for ER24.
Required Education:
- Essential: Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care.
- Desired: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Non-compliant applicants will be required to complete this training during the probation period if successful in the application.

Required Experience:
- Essential Minimum: 1 year of EMS experience.
- Desired: 1 year of Intermediate Life Support (ILS) experience.
Required Job Skills and Knowledge:
- Application of best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with facilities, travel routes, and demographics of the area.
- Knowledge of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice.
- Familiarity with Patient Report Forms.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
