Tourism Monitors Programme
Join the Tourism Safety Monitor Programme with the Department of Tourism! We’re seeking 30 participants, including individuals with disabilities, to safeguard tourism sites. Here’s what you need to know:

Program Details:
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: Table Mountain National Park
- Training: Three months theory, followed by nine months practical
- Responsibilities: Monitoring attractions/sites within your residential area
Requirements:
- South African citizenship (Certified ID copy required)
- Unemployed youth aged 18 to 35
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- Proficiency in English
- Bonus: Qualifications in tourism or environmental fields
- Reside within 40km – 50km of sites (Proof of residence needed)
- Flexible availability (weekends, holidays, as needed)
- Passion for tourism
- Own reliable transport
Please Note:
- Only one learner per household
- Affidavits not accepted as proof of residence
- Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed locally
- Medical exam and criminal record check required
