MATJHABENG MUNICIPALITY OFFERS TRAFFIC OFFICER TRAINEE LEARNERSHIP FOR UNEMPLOYED YOUTH (36 POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

Matjhabeng Municipality is seeking qualified and motivated individuals from diverse communities to participate in a comprehensive training program leading to a certification in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4).

As part of the municipality’s commitment to addressing youth unemployment and fostering skill development, applications are invited from eligible unemployed youth aged 18–35. The learnership, conducted by Matjhabeng Traffic Training Academy, spans a 12-month period.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

South African citizenship with a Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate
Valid Driver’s License
SAPS Clearance with no criminal record
Medical Examination proof
Permanent residence within Matjhabeng Local Municipality jurisdiction

CANDIDATES WILL:

Undergo written and interview assessments
Complete a physical assessment
Submit SAPS Clearance results
Maintain fitness levels with ongoing assessments
Adhere to the Matjhabeng Traffic Training code of conduct and pass Academy requirements

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

No obligation for permanent positions post-training
Extensive physical training aligned with the Firearm and Ammunitions Act
Uniform requirement, shift work, and exposure to all weather conditions
