The Department of Health is seeking three Enrolled Nursing Assistants to join their team at Dr.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

– Qualifications that allow registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant

– SANC registration certificate and current SANC receipt as Enrolled Nursing Assistant
– Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes, and other relevant legal principles

– Basic communication skills, elementary writing skills, ability to function as part of a team, and interpersonal skills
– Must be prepared to work shifts, including night duty, weekends, and public holidays

Duties

As an Enrolled Nursing Assistant, your duties will include:

– Assisting patients with activities of daily living
– Providing elementary clinical nursing care
– Maintaining professional growth and ethical standards
– Maintaining patient hygiene and providing nutrition

– Assisting with the elimination process and measuring vital signs
– Assisting professional nurses with clinical procedures and preparing patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures
– Maintaining the code of conduct as required in the Public Service
– Performing all other duties delegated by Supervisor/Manager within scope of practice

– Giving health education to patients and writing nursing progress reports
– Working with other stakeholders and advocating for patients
