About the Program: Anglo American is seeking twenty South African youth for its Learnership Programme 2024-2025, providing a three-year Artisan Learnership at Mogalakwena Mine, blending classroom and on-the-job training.

Program Highlights:

• Develop skills in Earthmoving & Diesel Mechanic, Boilermaker/Plater, Rigger, and Fitter.
• Tailored plans to maximize your potential and make a lasting impact.

Eligible Fields: Two categories available – Electrical (9 posts) and Mechanical (11 posts).

Mechanical Engineering Learnerships include Fitter, Boilermaker Plater, Rigger, Earthmoving Mechanic, and Diesel Mechanic.

Electrical Engineering Learnerships encompass Electrician, Auto Electrician, Millwright, and Control & Instrumentation.

Internship Type: Learnership

Eligibility Criteria:

• Willingness to work in ‘dusty areas’ and follow work schedules, potentially involving shifts.
• Successful completion of psychometric assessment.
• Medical fitness certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• South African Driver’s license advantageous.
• Background screening and qualification validation for successful candidates.

Qualifications:

• Matric with Mathematics, Physical Science, and English (minimum 40% pass).
• N2 or higher with subjects as per specific Discipline Requirements.
• NCV Level – 4 in the appropriate trade with a minimum 40% pass.

Trade Test Requirements:

• Minimum N2 Subjects/certificate with applicable subjects.
• South African citizenship is a must.
