This exciting opportunity is open to individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career as an artisan in various trades.

Programme Details

The programme offers training opportunities in the following trades:

– Millwright (inclusive of both Fitting and Electrical trade)

Duration: The programme will run for a maximum of three years.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:

– Minimum N2 certificate with relevant trade theory subject
– Technical/Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/Engineering science and related trade theory subject
– Relevant N6 certificate or National Technical diploma (S or N stream)
– Be a resident of eThekwini (proof of residence required)

– Be a South African citizen with a valid identity document (ID)
– Be unemployed
– Have a passion and interest in the field applied for
– Be between 18-35 years old
– Not have participated in a similar apprenticeship programme before

Applicants will undergo pre-assessments as part of the recruitment process. Successful candidates will complete an apprenticeship programme according to the criteria set by the applicable Seta and the National Artisan Moderating Body.

The programme combines practical training on-site with theoretical training at a training institution.

Upon completion, apprentices will undergo a formal trade test to qualify as an Artisan in their chosen trade.
