Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team at Nando’s. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing monthly payroll input, managing Time and Attendance functions, and ensuring accurate and timely pay runs.
Minimum Requirements:
– Diploma or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification in payroll or equivalent
– Driver’s License and own vehicle
– 3-5 years of experience in Time and Attendance administration and payroll administration
– Knowledge of labour legislation, PAYE, hospitality sectoral determination and main agreements, payroll system, tax legislation, and remuneration best practice
– Time management, Microsoft Office, numeracy, literacy, oral and written communication, and people management skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Coordinate month-end procedures and weekly EFT runs
– Review and sign-off on reconciliations and payments
– Verify payroll appointments, contract changes, and terminations
– Generate reports and reconcile cashbook and third-party payments
– Review pay slips, movements, terminations, and appointments monthly
– Create monthly reports on short hours, overtime, and permanent part-time staff
– Review and report on weekly Time and Attendance scheduling
– Prepare weekly Time Detail reports and monthly financial information comparisons
– Reconcile and import airtime vouchers and complete monthly and yearly reconciliations
– Create Access profiles and resolve Time and Attendance system issues
– Monitor team schedules, delegate tasks, and manage performance and potential
– Provide on-the-job training, upskilling, coaching, mentorship, and leadership
– Partner with Payroll Administrators and Time and Attendance team to set personal development goals
