Tourism Visitor Information Officer (2 Posts)

Requirements:

– SAQA recognised Degree/National Diploma (NQF6) in Travel and Tourism/Tourism Management or Customer Services
– 2-3 years’ working experience in tourism visitor services and complaints management

– Legal experience an added advantage
– Ability to manage projects independently
– Knowledge and skills in financial management and budgeting
– Good interpersonal relations skills
– Ability to work individually and in a team
– Ability to gather and analyse information
– Ability to develop and apply policies

Duties:

– Source and update national tourism information database
– Handle and address telephonic enquiries and complaints
– Create and manage a database of frequently asked questions

– Compile monthly, quarterly and annual operational reports
– Capture and process visitor statistics
– Ensure information desk is well managed and presentable
– Assist with projects and administrative work
– Compile customer satisfaction survey statistics

Requirements:

– Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
– 0-1 year experience
– Language skills and ability to communicate well
– Good telephone etiquette
– Computer Literacy
– Sound organising skills
– High level of reliability
– Basic written communication skills
– Ability to act with tact and discretion

Duties:

– Prepare and maintain year plan or calendar
– Make logistical arrangements for meetings and events
– Process order forms and travel documents
– Administer safekeeping of goods delivered and received

– Receive clients and direct to relevant offices
– Make bookings for flights, accommodation, and car rental
– Prepare processing of travel documents
– Bind documents for management meetings
– Administer telephone accounts and mail register
– Keep and maintain leave records and asset register

– Manage boardrooms and handle general phone line
– Compile quarterly delegations report
– Manage petty cash and process invoices
