Introduction:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Shop Assistant/Cashier to join our team at Clicks Elim. As a Shop Assistant/Cashier, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, efficiently executing point of sale operations, and maintaining merchandising standards in store.
Job Description:
Job Objectives:
– Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale
– Maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment
– Ensure safe handling of cash at all times
– Proactively promote the Clicks’ clubcard and enroll new members
– Make customers aware of promotions to positively affect sales
– Deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador
– Efficiently execute and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties
– Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer
Knowledge:
– Basic maths calculations
– Retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles
– Understanding of stock management procedures
– Knowledge of customer service excellence

Minimum Requirements:
– Experience: Desirable experience in a customer-facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment
– Education: Essential Grade 12, Desirable Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
