Job Purpose:
To provide an efficient and professional interface to all eThekwini residents in relation to services related to water accounts (billing), water, wastewater, storm-water, roads, and traffic (engineering fault reporting via a toll-free telephone contact point).
Key Responsibility Areas:
– Provide accurate information and ensure customer satisfaction
– Liaise with the Engineering Department and capture engineering faults effectively
– Prioritize and classify faults in terms of severity
– Screen no water complaints and update consumer and accounts details on the Billing system
– Authorize reconnection of water services on receipt of full payment
– Follow up on electronic payments and queries referred to meter shop and meter audit division
– Undertake adjustments of accounts
