The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill a Queue Marshall (Internship) position at Groote Schuur Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and gain valuable experience in the healthcare industry.
About the Position:
We are offering a 11-month contract internship, with a stipend of R 6 039.00 per month.
As a Queue Marshall, you will be responsible for maintaining order in patient waiting areas, redirecting patients, and providing excellent customer service. Your duties will include:
– Controlling and maintaining order in patient waiting areas
– Redirecting patients to the appropriate areas
– Welcoming patients and answering queries
– Keeping patients informed of progress within the clinic/unit
– Assisting elderly/incapacitated patients
– Distributing parcels to patients
– Being willing to accept additional duties as required
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must:
– Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID document
– Have a Matriculation certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
– Be willing to work shifts and be rotated to different areas of the hospital as needed
– Be able to cope under pressure
