The successful candidate will be responsible for stock management, sales growth, risk management, customer experience, and leadership and development within the store.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management:
- Accurately receive, unpack, merchandise, and replenish the sales floor.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring adequate stock on hand and minimizing stock loss risks.
- Maintain the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards and handle write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
Sales Growth & Profitability:
- Analyze sales and profitability reports, collaborating with management on action plans to increase sales performance.
- Keep track of in-store product performance, providing feedback to enhance sales.
- Identify and propose opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
Risk Management:
- Conduct compliance checks to ensure overall adherence to policies and procedures.
Customer Experience Management:
- Implement and maintain customer experience processes to meet service standards.
Leadership & Development:
- Lead and drive the team, achieving store KPIs in line with company values.
- Identify training, coaching, and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
- Recruit, administer, and manage performance according to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory/assistant store management role.
- Understanding of sales and service management, budgeting skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Effective communication skills and knowledge of retail trade, brands, customers, and products.
